Well...here I go again. First, let me say "thank you" for coming to my blog. I was posting this blog about a week ago and I decided to get more exposure by using Feedburner. I guess I did something wrong and lost the entire feed and blog at the same time.....technology....it still baffles me! :)
So...what is my daily quest you ask? I guess I would say that I am trying to understand life now that I have been successfully diagnosed with Adult Deficit Disorder. About 2 1/2 years ago I discovered that a was not directionless fool, I was just wired so that all the pistons were firing at the same time! ADD is not just for children and it's not somthing that you grow out of when you get older (I never even knew I had it....so if I was going to "grow out of it" it would not be with me today at age 42.)
ADD is a real this and there are different forms of it. Medication does make a huge difference and without it I go back to my old ways of 700 different ideas in my head that all want to come out at the same time (which is when my wife says, "Take your meds!")
Maybe you are reading this and saying, "That kind of sounds like me!" Let me ask you this: Have you ever felt like there was a secret to life that NO ONE was telling you? You felt that if someone would tell you how to get things done or how to succeed in life, things would be a whole lot different. Do you feel like you have messed up, the boat set sail and you weren't on it, no matter how hard you try...you never seem to get the break that everyone else seems to get?
You might be ADD. Notice I said, "be ADD." I hate when people say that ADD is a deficit (althought one of the "D's" in ADD stands for "deficit.") Yes, being ADD has some drawnbacks, but there are also some positives....but I digress...I don't want to get to ahead of myself (I've been known to ramble... a TRUE ADD trait!)
So...put on your seatbelt, because it is going to be a fast, sometimes bumpy ride! Don't worry you'll learn something along the way. If things really go well I am hoping I will learn something too (and I usually do!) If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I am not new at the blogging thing (or writing about this subject...I have been writing a blog about ADD for about a year now. I thought it needed more exposure and began on blogger a week ago.)
FYI~ sometimes I do ramble. A subject will come up (maybe something that happened in my life and I will feel led to write about it.) The cool thing is that I found that for someone there is revelence in it.
And the Quest Begins!
Blessings,
D
